What Is Rite of Passage in Path of Exile 2?

Rite of Passage is a unique charm on the Golden Charm base that requires level 50. It is used automatically when you kill a Rare or Unique monster, and for 10 to 20 seconds an Azmeri spirit possesses you, giving you that spirit's power. The charm has been in the game since patch 0.2.0.

Its source is unusual: it drops from monsters that Azmeri wisps have possessed. You cannot target a boss or a map for it, so players who want a specific spirit tend to buy the charm rather than keep killing possessed packs.

Spirits You Can Order With Your Rite of Passage

The Desired Charm Effect boxes name the spirit you want on your copy. Nine are listed in every league:

• Spirit of the Cat, Spirit of the Stag, Spirit of the Wolf
• Spirit of the Boar, Spirit of The Bear, Spirit of The Owl
• Spirit of The Ox, Spirit of The Primate, Spirit of The Serpent

Each spirit is priced on its own. In the Softcore leagues the Cat and the Stag tend to be the expensive picks and the Serpent, the Primate and the Boar the cheaper ones. Runes of Aldur Hardcore is far more expensive than any Softcore choice.
