What Is a Pinnacle Boss in Path of Exile 2?
Pinnacle bosses are the hardest fights of the Path of Exile 2 endgame, each one at the end of an Atlas mechanic. Since 0.5.0 every pinnacle has a quest version, fought the first time with unlimited revives, and a repeatable version opened with a tradeable key, with 2 revives and higher monster level. All pinnacles drop exclusive uniques, and a pinnacle kill adds 6 points to that mechanic's side of the Atlas passive tree.
Two of our cards cover bosses outside that list. Olroth, Origin of the Fall, is an Expedition boss on Obscure Island, and The King in the Mists is the endgame Ritual boss in the Crux of Nothingness. Both are farmed for their own loot.

Pick a Boss by Atlas Mechanic and Loot
Start from the mechanic you farm. Breach players finish with Xesht, opened by a Breachlord Sac. Ritual has two fights: The King in the Mists, opened by An Audience with the King, and The Bodach, the pinnacle. Delirium ends with The Raven Trickster, whose key is the Raven's Reflection from a finished Simulacrum run. Abyss leads to Vessel of Kulemak, Expedition Logbooks to Olroth, and Ancient Beacons to Atziri's Temple. The two Arbiters close the Precursor Fortress.
If you want one item rather than the kill, check whether it is sold directly in our PoE 2 unique items section: Sacred Flame, Prism of Belief, Choir of the Storm and Atziri's Splendour are. If you want Atlas points or many attempts at a full loot table, the carry is the better buy. Each Expedition boss kill on Olroth also gives 6 Expedition Atlas points.
Normal or Uber, Kill Count and Express
Four cards ask you to choose between Normal and Uber: both Arbiters, The Bodach and The Raven Trickster. Uber is the harder version picked in the calculator and costs more than Normal. The Arbiter of Divinity card also lowers the Uber price when you already own the fragment. Every card has a kill counter from 1 to 50, a league list with Softcore and Hardcore lines, and Self Play, Piloted or Remote Control. Express costs extra and moves your order to the front for start and completion.
When a Boss Carry Starts
Your booster confirms the start time with you in the order chat, then each kill takes about 15 minutes. Forbidden Rites is the current challenge league until 1.0 launches on December 11, 2026; from then on, kills are played in the league you select in the calculator.
Frequently asked questions
When can my boss carry start?
The booster agrees the exact start with you in the order chat, and each kill then takes about 15 minutes.
How long does one boss kill take?
About 15 minutes per kill on every boss card. An order of several kills repeats the fight for each one on the counter.
What is the difference between Normal and Uber?
Uber is the harder version of the fight that you select in the calculator, and it costs more. Normal (Quest) is the quest fight on the cards that list it.
Do I keep all the loot?
Yes. Every drop from each kill stays on your character, and pinnacle kills add their Atlas points to your tree.
