Pre-Raid Gear
WoW Forever Gear: What Blizzard Has Confirmed So Far
Most talk about WoW Forever gear is still guesswork, so it helps to separate the announced part from the rest. World of Warcraft: Forever goes live on November 4, 2026, and sixty remains the ceiling for good. From there the game widens instead of climbing, adding instances and reward tracks at the top, and no wipe ever touches a character. Whatever you equip during the first month keeps its place until something better replaces it.
About the items themselves, the developers have said the following:
- A unique item from any dungeon boss is blue or better, never green.
- Epics that drop in the open world have been improved.
- Rare creatures across Azeroth carry several hundred drops that did not exist before.
- Tier sets and one legendary, all of them new, belong to Hyjal Summit and The Barrow Deeps.
- Crafters receive over 600 additional recipes, so professions remain a source of endgame pieces.
The unpublished half is just as important. Loot tables, names and levels of items, the odds of a drop, set bonuses and raid lockouts had not been shown when this page was written. Nothing in this category is sold as a count of runs or weeks.
WoW Forever Tier Sets and the Legendary: Known and Unrevealed
Questions about the WoW Forever tier sets have a short honest answer. Blizzard attached them, together with a single legendary, to two places on Mount Hyjal: a prison of the night elves called The Barrow Deeps, built for ten players, and the snowy Hyjal Summit above it, built for twenty. Both doors open on December 9, 2026, the same day the returning Onyxia's Lair welcomes forty players again.
How many pieces a set contains, which bosses hold them, what the bonuses do, and which class or questline the legendary belongs to are all unrevealed. Every content tier pairs a small raid with a medium one and offers no difficulty selector, which means no second, harder version of a set exists to chase. Once the loot is public, a tier piece becomes an ordinary line on a slot list.
Where Level 60 Items Come From: Sources Side by Side
| Source | Content | Opens | Confirmed so far |
|---|---|---|---|
| Late dungeons | Shaper's Terrace (from 58), Blackmaw Hold (from 55), the classic instances built for capped groups | At launch | Blue-or-better boss uniques; loot unpublished |
| Crafting | Professions capped at 300 skill, a few hundred added recipes | At launch | Recipe lists unpublished |
| Open world | Better world-drop epics, rare-creature loot | At launch | Item names unpublished |
| Raids | Two new raids for 10 and 20 players, one returning for 40 | December 9 | Tier and a legendary inside both newcomers |
| Honor | Seasonal honor track with its own items | With each PvP season | Items and requirements unpublished |
Read from top to bottom, the table is the expected gear progression. Dungeon and crafted pieces come first because they are the likely pre-raid sources. Raid items and tier follow from December 9, and honor items run on their own calendar. Blackmaw Hold lies behind gates in Azshara, where corrupted furbolgs dug passages in the direction of the ten-player raid; Shaper's Terrace hides titan machinery among the hills of Un'Goro. Both are tuned for the final levels, which is why Classic Plus gearing ahead of December is expected to revolve around them and the classic endgame instances.
What a WoW Forever Gearing Boost Covers
A WoW Forever Gearing Boost is measured in filled slots. You name the class, the spec and the slots that matter, the list is written down before anything starts, and the job is complete when those slots hold the agreed items. The category has two listings:
- equipment earned before raiding, out of dungeons and professions, sold in two sizes: enough to be raid-ready, or every slot at its non-raid best;
- a best-in-slot target that includes raid items, sold in three sizes: everything, only what raid bosses drop, or only the gaps, with enchants included and leveling from 1 available as an extra.
Items bought with honor are handled by a separate PvP gear listing in the PvP category, because they depend on the honor track and its seasonal reset, not on dungeon or raid loot.
Dungeon Set or Raid List: Start From Where the Character Stands
Someone who dinged recently and still wears quest items belongs in the raid-ready size. Its purpose is simple: to be a welcome member of a raid group on December 9. Players who want nothing replaceable outside of raids choose the larger dungeon size instead.
Raiders fit the second listing. Its gaps-only size is meant for someone who lacks a couple of stubborn items. The boss-drops size is meant for a player whose crafted pieces are finished. The complete size is meant for an alt whose owner wants the whole thing handled. When the character is still climbing, the leveling extra puts both jobs into one order.
Anyone looking to buy WoW Forever gear should know how it arrives. Boss loot is soulbound the moment it is taken, so your own character has to be present and loot it. Only crafted or tradeable pieces can change hands, and even those end up equipped on the character the order was placed for.
How the Slot List Is Fixed Before the First Run
A real best-in-slot list cannot exist while loot tables are hidden. Until Blizzard publishes them, a WoW Forever Gearing Boost is scoped by slots: which ones are to be filled, from which kind of source, for which spec. When the loot becomes public, you and the assigned booster agree the exact item for every slot in the order chat. Your guild's list is accepted as the target.
Slots you already own at that quality are removed before work begins, so nothing is farmed twice. Because drop chances are unknown, a WoW Forever gear boost is never quoted as a number of clears. The list is the finish line.
Appearances and Transmog: Who Keeps the Look
Forever has two appearance rules, and they affect how a list is planned. Bind-on-pickup green and blue items from dungeons grant their appearance to every eligible looter in the group, so the look is collected even when another player wins the item. Raid epics work differently: only the player who binds the item gets its appearance. Transmog itself is opt-in, so players who prefer to see real equipment on others can leave it off.
From Calculator to Confirmed Order
Every WoW Forever Gearing Boost follows the same route on SkillCarry. The listing calculator holds the scope choices; payment follows. SkillCarry then shows the job to boosters it has vetted, and the one who takes it is assigned to you. A chat opens that includes this booster and support, and the slot list and schedule are settled there. Two methods exist. Piloted means sessions on your account at times you approve. Self-play means you sit in the group yourself.
Proof is uploaded once the last slot is filled. You then have 72 hours to confirm or to report a problem; silence counts as confirmation. An order cancelled while no booster has accepted it is refunded in full. Should Blizzard shift the launch or the raid opening, your order simply waits for the new day and remains valid.
What We Ask For at Checkout
- A WoW subscription or Game Time on the account; Forever needs nothing else.
- Your region and ruleset (Roleplaying, PvP or Normal), then faction and class, then the character name with both of its parts.
- A capped character, or the leveling extra on the best-in-slot listing.
- The spec the list is built for, and the slots you already consider finished.
Forever sorts characters by ruleset inside one large regional world, and a two-part name cannot repeat within a region. Those five details are enough for a WoW Forever Gearing Boost to reach the right character.
Frequently asked questions
What do we know about WoW Forever tier sets right now?
Only their location. According to Blizzard they drop, along with a legendary, in the ten-player and twenty-player raids on Mount Hyjal that open on December 9. Piece counts, bonuses, boss assignments and class details are unrevealed. Any site that lists set bonuses today is guessing, and we do not repeat such numbers.
Is there a WoW Forever BiS list I can order from today?
No. A best-in-slot list needs published loot tables, and Blizzard has not released them. An order placed now is scoped by slots and sources for your spec. Once the loot is public, the exact items are agreed with you in the order chat, and your own or your guild's list can serve as the target.
When does gearing work begin?
Dungeon and crafted pieces can be worked on from launch day, November 4, provided the character has hit the cap. Anything from a raid boss has to wait for the December 9 unlock. Ordering is possible today. A date change by Blizzard delays the start accordingly and does not cancel anything.
What new gear has been announced for Classic Plus?
Blue-or-better uniques on dungeon bosses, stronger world-drop epics, a few hundred fresh drops on rare creatures, 600+ recipes for crafters, and tier plus a legendary inside the two Hyjal raids. Item names, item levels and stats have not been published for any of these groups.
How many runs does a full set take?
Nobody can answer that honestly yet, because drop chances and loot tables are unknown. That is why orders in this category are not sold per run. The scope is a slot list, and the order is complete when the listed slots are filled and the proof is uploaded.
Will a new season take my items away?
No. Characters in Forever are never reset and the cap does not move, so equipment stays where it is. The exception is the new honor track: its progress resets with each season, which matters for the timing of PvP items but does not remove anything you already own.
Can I skip the dungeon set and order raid items directly?
Yes, the best-in-slot listing has a size limited to boss drops for exactly that case. Keep in mind that those items are locked until December 9, whereas dungeon and crafted ones are available from launch. The weeks in between are a natural time for the dungeon set.
Which details do you need from me?
A subscription or Game Time, your region, the ruleset you play on, faction, class, and the two-part character name. For the list itself we need the spec and the slots you consider done. With the Piloted method, login access is needed for the sessions you approve.
