Azshara is a quiet corner of Kalimdor. In Forever, a set of mysterious gates in that zone opens onto an entire furbolg city. Blizzard's description speaks of corruption spreading among its inhabitants and of tunnels that lead on toward The Barrow Deeps, the 10-player raid entered from Mount Hyjal. The dungeon is therefore a story prologue as much as a gearing stop: what twists the furbolgs here is tied to what sleeps in the night elf prison below.

The level range is 55–60. Encounters, item names, quests, group size and any attunement role are unannounced, and this page does not guess at them.

Five Weeks Between Launch and the First Raids

Launch day is November 4, 2026; the raid doors open on December 9. Characters that reach the mid-fifties inside that gap face the same question: where do the blues for raid night come from? Forever keeps its cap at 60 permanently and favours horizontal progression, so dungeon blues are not throwaway items. Blackmaw, together with the titan site in Un'Goro, is one of only two new dungeons reaching level 60, and boss uniques there are blue or better by Blizzard's own rule.

That is the logic behind a Blackmaw Hold carry: levels 55 to 60 first, then repeat clears for specific slots.

WoW Forever Blackmaw Hold Boost: Three Ways to Run It

Single run. One clear of the city. Reasonable for the story, for a first look at the tables, or for one missing drop you feel lucky about.

Run package. A stack of clears whose size you choose. While the character is 55–59 each Blackmaw Hold run adds experience; we make no claim that this beats questing, because instance experience is reportedly being tuned downward. From 60 on, the same package simply becomes a gear farm.

Loot run. Built for level 60. You name pre-raid pieces or slots, and the boosters keep clearing until those have dropped for you.

Naming Your Pre-Raid Pieces

Item tables will only be known once players or Blizzard publish them.
