What Is the Legacy System in WoW Forever?
Legacy is WoW Forever's account progression. Challenges grant Legacy Points, the points belong to the whole account, and each character spends up to 16 of them in its own perk trees: Adventure, Professions and Resourcefulness. Perks such as Well Rested, Bountiful Harvest and Reagent Economy make the next character and the next trade quicker. You keep earning past 16, because the account total also drives a cosmetic reward track.
A WoW Forever Legacy Boost targets the challenges themselves, so the points land on the account whichever character earns them. Hardcore, added in December, follows one rule: its points can be used on the other rulesets, but points from Normal, PvP and Roleplaying never flow into Hardcore.
WoW Forever Legacy Boost Cards
| Category | What counts | Time |

| Profession Legacy | Skill milestones 150, 225 and 300, up to 6 professions | 1–2 days per profession (1–300) |
| Dungeon Legacy | Novice, Experienced and Master Spelunker for levels 15–25, 26–45 and 46–60 | 20–90 min per clear, by band |
| Raid Legacy | Onyxia defeated; every boss in The Barrow Deeps; every boss in Hyjal Summit | One clear per raid, from December 9 |
| PvP Legacy | Ranks 3, 7, 10, 13 and 14, Exalted battleground reputations, Field of Honor week 4, 7 and 10 quests | Rank 10 about 1–1.5 months, Rank 14 about 2 months |

The Reward Track and the Spectral Bear
- 15 points: Replica Ironforge Air Rifle
- 25 points: Spectral Bear Cub
- 40 points: Spectral Bear Tabard
- 55 points: Reins of the Spectral Bear, the mount
The mount sits at 55 of the 65 launch points, so it asks for almost every challenge in the game. The bundle tiers follow the track: Starter stops at the rifle, Advanced passes the cub, and the Spectral Bear tier reaches the mount.
Choosing a Legacy Boost by Goal
One main, no alts: Dungeon, Adventure, PvP and Raid Legacy all add points through the same character. Several characters: Class Legacy holds 27 points, the largest block, and Profession Legacy adds the skill milestones; both fit an account that will level alts anyway. A reward target: buy the bundle tier that reaches it instead of picking milestones one by one.
Timing also matters. Class Legacy runs about 14 days per class, and PvP ranks take weeks because of the weekly cap, while a profession is done in 1–2 days. A WoW Forever Legacy Boost that mixes categories is planned so the quick points come first and the long ones run alongside.
Points beyond 16 cannot go into one character's trees, so plan the perks for your whole roster first. The WoW Forever Legacy system guide explains the trees, and the Legacy talent calculator lets you test a build.
When Legacy Work Starts After Launch
WoW Forever launches on November 4. Class, adventure, PvP rank, Field of Honor and low dungeon challenges start that day; Master Spelunker runs in level 55–60 dungeons begin about one week after launch, and battleground reputations and standalone Profession Legacy orders start at the same time. Raid challenges wait for December 9, when Onyxia's Lair, The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit open. You can order any WoW Forever Legacy Boost now, and challenges your account already finished are left out of the plan.
Frequently asked questions
Are Legacy Points shared between my characters?
Yes. Points belong to the account, and each character spends up to 16 of them in its own perk trees. Hardcore points can be used on other rulesets, but not the other way round.
Which Legacy Bundle tier reaches the Spectral Bear mount?
The Spectral Bear tier of the Legacy Bundle. The Reins of the Spectral Bear unlock at 55 points.
When can you start?
On November 4 for class, adventure, PvP rank, Field of Honor and low dungeon challenges, about one week later for level 55–60 dungeons, battleground reputations and standalone professions, and on December 9 for raids.
Does a second character of the same class earn points again?
No. Each challenge counts once per account. Tell us what your account has already completed, and we leave it out.
