What Is Currency in Path of Exile 2?

Path of Exile 2 has no coin for trading between players. Orbs do that job, and each one also crafts. A Divine Orb rerolls the numeric values of the modifiers on an item, and since 0.5.0 it drops more often, yet it is still the unit most big trades are priced in. An Exalted Orb adds a modifier to a rare item, and its Greater and Perfect versions add higher-level ones.

Gold is different: it is bound to your account, shared by your characters in one league and cannot be given to anyone. So the orbs are what moves through trade, both on the official trade site and on the in-game Currency Exchange.

Three Currency Bundle Sizes to Buy

The calculator has one choice that matters, the pack. Starter Stash is the entry size, Solid Value is the middle step, and King's Vault is the largest. The contents of each pack are fixed, so you do not pick orbs one by one; a bigger pack simply holds more. Why the PoE 2 Currency Packs Are Forbidden Rites Only

Forbidden Rites started on September 4, 2026 with a fresh economy, and it runs until the 1.0 release on December 11, 2026. Every orb in it was farmed after launch, which is why a pack makes a visible difference there. The card covers the Softcore version only.
