What Are Gems in Path of Exile 2?
Skills in Path of Exile 2 come from uncut gems. You engrave an uncut gem into the skill you want, or use it to raise a skill you already have up to the uncut gem's level. There are three kinds: Uncut Skill Gems for active skills (levels 1–20), Uncut Spirit Gems for persistent buffs that run on Spirit (levels 4–20), and Uncut Support Gems for the supports linked to a skill (levels I–V).
Lineage supports are the exception. They are stronger, named supports with restrictions: one copy per character unless you wear Solus Ipse, and most need level 65. They cannot be engraved from uncut gems and only drop in the world or from endgame bosses and encounters.

Choose by What Your Build Is Missing
- A new main skill or a higher level for it: Uncut Skill Gems. Level XX is the top step for a main damage skill.
- Links for that skill: Uncut Support Gems. A new build often needs many at once, so these are bought in the largest numbers.
- An aura, buff or other always-on effect: Uncut Spirit Gems, within the Spirit your character has.
- A support your guide names, such as Uul-Netol's Embrace or Rakiata's Flow: the lineage card, because no uncut gem can become one.
Write the planned setup down before checkout: main skill, its supports, the persistent buffs and any lineage gem. That list usually maps onto two or three cards. If you are unsure which supports belong on your skill, a build check answers it before you spend anything.
Choose the Right Level
The level on an uncut gem sets how strong the engraved skill can become. Low levels suit a character in the campaign, middle levels the first maps, and the top levels an endgame build that keeps the gem for good. Your character still needs the level to use the skill, and Spirit gems need enough free Spirit. On the skill and spirit cards the highest levels cost more than the rest; on the support card in Softcore every tier shares one price, so the total mostly follows the amount.
Leagues and Express
The three uncut gem cards cover Forbidden Rites Softcore, Runes of Aldur Softcore and Hardcore, and Standard Softcore and Hardcore. Express, which costs extra and moves your trade to the front, is offered in their Softcore variants. The lineage card covers Forbidden Rites Softcore and both Runes of Aldur variants and offers Standard or Express delivery. Forbidden Rites lists 63 lineage names; Runes of Aldur adds two Styrn gems for 65.
When Your Gems Arrive
The trade usually happens about 15 minutes after the order, or at a later time you set in the order chat. Check every level, tier or name in the trade window before you accept.
The seasonal leagues run until the 1.0 release on December 11, 2026, and later orders are played in the current league selected in the calculator. Other services for the game are on the main PoE 2 boost page.
Frequently asked questions
How are PoE 2 gems delivered?
In an in-game trade to the character you named, inside the league you picked. No account access is needed on any gem card.
Can I engrave a lineage support from an uncut gem?
No. Lineage supports cannot be engraved; they only drop in the world or from endgame bosses and encounters. That is why the lineage card sells them by name.
Can I order several levels or names at once?
Yes. Tick every level, tier or lineage name you need on a card, and they arrive in the same trade. Gems from different cards are separate orders.
Is Hardcore available?
Yes. The uncut gem cards cover Runes of Aldur Hardcore and Standard Hardcore, and the lineage card covers Runes of Aldur Hardcore. Express is offered only in Softcore on the uncut gem cards.
