What Is Reputation in TBC Anniversary?
Reputation is your standing with a faction, and in The Burning Crusade it locks most rewards worth having. Five factions sell the heroic dungeon keys, the Cenarion Expedition sells the Cenarion War Hippogryph at Exalted, the Sha'tari Skyguard sells Nether Ray flyers, and Kurenai and the Mag'har sell talbuks. The Violet Eye upgrades the Violet Signet ring as your Karazhan standing rises.
The Aldor and the Scryers are the Shattrath pair, and they are mutually exclusive. The side you take decides which profession recipes you can buy, and choosing one lowers your standing with the other.

Which Faction Boost Matches Your Goal
- Heroic dungeons: Honor Hold or Thrallmar, the Cenarion Expedition, Lower City, The Sha'tar and Keepers of Time. If keys are all you want, the heroic keys boost farms the five factions in one order.
- Mounts: the Cenarion Expedition for the hippogryph, the Skyguard for nether rays, Kurenai or the Mag'har for talbuks. Mount-first orders, Netherwing drakes included, sit in the TBC mount boost hub.
- Crafting recipes: the Aldor or the Scryers, one per character.
- Karazhan raiders: The Violet Eye, for the ring that grows with each tier.
Every card has a slider for current and target standing. Stop at the tier your reward needs and you pay only for that stretch.
Why Some Factions Take a Day and Others Three Weeks
The finish date follows the source of the reputation. Turn-in factions move as fast as items can be handed in: the Aldor take Marks of Sargeras, the Scryers take Sunfury Signets, and both reach Exalted in about 1 day, like the Cenarion Expedition. Lower City, Keepers of Time, The Sha'tar and The Consortium need heroic dungeons for their top tiers and The Violet Eye needs Karazhan clears, so they take about a week. Honor Hold and Thrallmar sit between those groups at 6–7 days.
Ogri'la, the Sha'tari Skyguard, Kurenai and the Mag'har are the long climbs of the expansion at 22–24 days each. For those four the booster sends status updates in the order chat whenever you ask, and a gold bundle from 300 to 2,000 can be added, handy for buying a talbuk or a nether ray at Exalted.
When Your Reputation Order Starts
Most factions start about 15 minutes after payment, Warsong Gulch about 1 hour after, and the Aldor and Scryers start time is set in the order chat. From October 22, 2026, the heroic keys need Honored instead of Revered, so key buyers can stop one tier earlier.
