Ulduar Timewalking
Black Temple Timewalking
What Is a Timewalking Raid in WoW?
A Timewalking raid is an old raid brought back with scaling: gear and power are adjusted to the instance, so a modern character fights the original bosses at a level that still matters. Three raids rotate this way: Black Temple with 9 bosses, Ulduar with 14 and Firelands with 7. Each opens only during its expansion's Timewalking week, for a premade group of 10–30 players. Joining needs level 80 or higher and item level 180.
Players come for three things. The raid quest pays a Hero-track Venomous Abyss item. Every boss gives Timewarped Badges. And any Timewalking boss has a very small chance to drop the Reins of the Infinite Timereaver, while the quest cache can hold Mimiron's Head in Ulduar or the Pureblood Fire Hawk in Firelands.

Black Temple, Ulduar or Firelands: Which Timewalking Carry to Buy
All three pay the same raid quest reward, a Hero-track item from the current raid, so for gear any of them works. Choose by what else you want. Ulduar has the most bosses and the cache that can hold Mimiron's Head. Firelands has the fewest bosses, and its cache can hold the Pureblood Fire Hawk. Black Temple ends with Illidan, the kill most players book it for.
Each card has two goals. The end boss alone completes the raid quest and pays its reward. The full raid adds every other boss, each with its own Timewarped Badges and its own Timereaver roll, and costs a little more. Timewalking vendors sell past Turbulent Timeways mounts for 5,000 badges, so full runs add up over several event weeks.
Event Raid or Permanent Raid
Ulduar and Firelands also exist as normal raids that never close. Those runs pay no Timewalking quest reward, but you can farm them on any reset, which suits repeated mount attempts. They are sold on the legacy raid boost page. In the same event week, the Timewalking dungeons boost covers the dungeon side. Every run is played Piloted, Self Play or Remote Control.
When a Timewalking Raid Boost Is Played
Each raid opens only in the Timewalking week of its expansion: Black Temple with Burning Crusade, Ulduar with Wrath of the Lich King, Firelands with Cataclysm. You can buy the run now, and it is played in the next such week. Your raid time arrives in the order chat, and the run is completed within 12–24 hours of the week's start. Two raids from different expansions are played in their own weeks. The calendar is set through Classic Timewalking on February 9–16, 2027, and the three-week rotation then points to TBC around March 2, Wrath around March 23 and Cataclysm around April 13, 2027.
Frequently asked questions
When will my Timewalking raid be played?
In the next Timewalking week of that raid's expansion. The run is completed within 12–24 hours of the week's start, and the raid time arrives in the order chat.
Is a mount included?
Only as a chance. Any Timewalking boss can drop the Reins of the Infinite Timereaver, and the quest cache can hold Mimiron's Head in Ulduar or the Pureblood Fire Hawk in Firelands. If one drops, it is yours.
Should I buy the end boss or the full raid?
The end boss is enough for the raid quest reward. The full raid adds more Timewarped Badges and one Timereaver roll per boss.
What does my character need?
Level 80 or higher and item level 180, the entry rules of Timewalking raids. PvE carries need no gear or skill, also on Self Play.
