What Is Phase 3 BiS Gear in TBC Anniversary?

Best in slot means the strongest item a spec can wear in each slot at the current stage of TBC Anniversary. Phase 3 opened on August 27, 2026 with Black Temple and the Battle for Mount Hyjal, so today's lists are built around Tier 6 at item level 146 and boss drops between 141 and 151. Only 5 of the 8 Tier 6 pieces are in the game: head, shoulders, chest, hands and legs. Wrists, waist and feet come from other sources until Sunwell Plateau opens.

For a raiding main in Fresh TBC this list is the finish line of the phase. It mixes Illidan and Archimonde loot, a few pieces still taken from Serpentshrine Cavern or The Eye, crafted epics and rewards bought with Badges of Justice.

Where the Pieces of a BiS Gear Boost Come From

Part of the listSource
Tier 6 head and handsArchimonde and Azgalor, Hyjal
Tier 6 shoulders, legs and chestMother Shahraz, Illidari Council and Illidan, Black Temple
Weapons and trinkets at 151Illidan Stormrage and Archimonde
Items at 141Supremus, Mother Shahraz, Illidari Council
Crafted and badge itemsProfessions and G'eras in Shattrath

Tier 6 tokens are shared by three classes each: Conqueror for Paladin, Priest and Warlock, Protector for Warrior, Hunter and Shaman, Vanquisher for Rogue, Mage and Druid. If you only miss a couple of slots, the single-slot BiS item boost costs less, and the Tier 6 set boost covers the set alone.

Class, Spec and Add-ons in the Calculator

The calculator asks for class first and specialization second, because the spec decides the item list. Hunter, Rogue and Warrior cost more as classes, and so do Feral (both the cat and the tank build), Retribution and Enhancement among the specs, since their lists compete for more contested drops. Warriors and Rogues see one extra box: the Warglaives of Azzinoth, the legendary pair at item level 156 that only Illidan drops. Play modes: Piloted, Self Play or Remote Control, with Self Play costing a little more.

How Long the Full Phase 3 Carry Takes

Every boss can be looted once per character per reset, so the list fills over weekly lockouts. A single raid item takes 2–3 resets on average; the whole list rolls in parallel, because each clear gives your character a chance at several slots at once. A Black Temple run lasts about 2 hours, and so does Hyjal. Crafted and badge items are not tied to drops and are done between raids. For a first pass through both raids without a fixed item list, the Black Temple and Hyjal bundle is the lighter order.

After You Buy BiS Boost

The booster compares your current gear with the target list and marks the slots that are already done. Other gearing routes are listed in the TBC Anniversary gear boost catalog.

Frequently asked questions

When can the BiS gear boost start?

The booster confirms the start time in the order chat. Crafted and badge items can begin before the first raid night.

How long does a full Phase 3 BiS order take?

One raid item takes 2–3 resets on average, and the list is farmed in parallel. The total depends on how many slots you still miss and on drop luck; there is no fixed date.

Why do some classes and specs cost more?

Hunter, Rogue and Warrior, and the Feral, Retribution and Enhancement specs, chase drops that more raiders want. The calculator prices those lists higher. All other classes and specs use the base price.

Are Sunwell items part of the list?

No. Sunwell Plateau comes with Phase 4, so the order covers the Phase 3 list only, built from Black Temple, Hyjal, earlier raids, crafts and badges.
