What Are Mounts in TBC Anniversary?
The Burning Crusade splits mounts into ground and flying, and flying works only in Outland. Artisan Riding (300) gives 280% flight and costs 5,000g at level 70, with Expert Riding learned first. Fast flyers come from factions (the Cenarion War Hippogryph at Exalted with the Cenarion Expedition, the Netherwing drakes), from the druid's Swift Flight Form and from Kael'thas, whose Ashes of Al'ar flies at 310%.
On the ground, Fresh TBC players chase rare boss drops such as Fiery Warhorse's Reins from Attumen and the Raven Lord from Anzu in heroic Sethekk Halls, the paladin Charger and warlock Dreadsteed from class chains, and three Classic rares: Rivendare's Deathcharger in Stratholme plus the Swift Razzashi Raptor and Swift Zulian Tiger in Zul'Gurub.

Fixed-Time Mounts and Until-It-Drops Mounts
Two kinds of orders share this page. Quest and reputation mounts have a known length: about 5 hours for the flight form, about 1 day for the Charger, the Dreadsteed or the War Hippogryph, and 20–22 days for a Netherwing drake, since that faction climbs from Hated through dailies. You can plan around those dates.
Drop mounts carry a guarantee instead of a deadline. Ashes of Al'ar, the Fiery Warhorse, the Raven Lord, the Deathcharger and both Zul'Gurub mounts are farmed inside one order until the mount drops, however many resets that takes. A dry week costs you nothing extra, the farm follows each boss's lockout, and every kill comes with a screenshot.
Which Mount Boost Fits Your Goal
- Faster travel in Outland: the War Hippogryph is the shortest flying order, and a druid has the swift form after one afternoon. The Ashes, Hippogryph, Netherwing and flight form cards can add the 280% Flying Skill, so you ride at full speed at once.
- A trophy few players own: Ashes of Al'ar, the Fiery Warhorse or the Raven Lord.
- Your class's own mount: the Charger for paladins, the Dreadsteed for warlocks.
- Classic collection pieces: the Deathcharger, the Razzashi Raptor and the Zulian Tiger; both Zul'Gurub cards also offer Self Play.
Farms on different bosses can run side by side, so a drake grind and a phoenix farm do not slow each other down. If you want a faction bar without its mount, the TBC reputation boost hub sells every faction on its own.
When Your Mount Order Starts
Netherwing, the War Hippogryph and the flight form start about 15 minutes after a booster is assigned; drop farms and class chains get their first run fixed in the order chat.
On October 22, 2026, Zul'Aman opens and adds the Amani War Bear, the prize for rescuing every hostage before the raid timer expires. Raids that hold the phoenix and the Fiery Warhorse are also sold for their gear in the TBC raid boost catalog.
Frequently asked questions
Is a rare drop mount guaranteed?
Yes. Ashes of Al'ar, the Fiery Warhorse, the Raven Lord, Rivendare's Deathcharger and both Zul'Gurub mounts are farmed in one order until the mount drops for you.
How long does a mount boost take?
Swift Flight Form takes about 5 hours, the class mounts and the Cenarion War Hippogryph about 1 day, and the Netherwing drakes 20–22 days. Drop mounts have no fixed length, because the farm continues until the drop.
Do I need riding skill before the order?
Flying mounts need Riding 300 in Outland. The Ashes, Hippogryph, Netherwing and flight form cards can add the 280% Flying Skill, and the Fiery Warhorse and Raven Lord cards can add 100% riding.
How is the price of a mount boost built?
The mount sets the base, and add-ons such as the flying skill, riding training, a gold bundle or a live stream raise the total. On the flight form card, a druid who already has the Sethekk Halls attunement pays less.
