What Is a Map Hideout in Path of Exile 2?
A hideout is your private base between maps. Every character gets its first one in Act 4, and once you reach the endgame, the Map Device inside it is where you open your Waystones.
The Canal, Felled, Limestone and Shrine Hideouts are map hideouts. They do not come with the campaign; you unlock each one by completing certain endgame maps. Once unlocked, a hideout works for all your characters in that league, so one unlock covers every alt you level there.
Hideouts You Can Buy in the Calculator
- Hideout: choose Canal, Felled, Limestone or Shrine as the main unlock.
- More hideouts: tick the remaining three to add them to the same order.
- Choose league: Forbidden Rites Softcore, Runes of Aldur Softcore or Hardcore, Standard Softcore or Hardcore.
- Boost method: Self Play, Piloted or Remote Control.
- Live stream: available with Piloted, so you can watch the maps being run.
Each hideout costs the same, so the total depends on how many you tick, the method and the stream. With Self Play you play your own character while the booster helps clear the maps; with Piloted or Remote Control the booster plays your character, and you only check the new hideouts in your list when it is done. In a Hardcore league, pick the league your character really plays in, because an unlock stays in the league where it was earned.
Start and Duration of the Hideout Boost
Work starts within about 15 minutes of payment. How long it takes depends on the maps each hideout needs, so the booster confirms the completion time with you in the order chat.
Not in the endgame yet? The campaign boost gets your character through Act 4 and the Interludes. If you also want Atlas progress while the maps are being run, the Atlas boost covers it, and hourly driving lets you book a booster for any other task. All extra services are on the PoE 2 other services page.
