What Is the Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2?
The Trial of the Sekhemas is the Act 2 ascension trial, a run through up to 4 floors of 8 rooms each. Instead of a life bar for the trial, you carry Honour, a survival pool that drops as you take damage; at 0, the run ends. Relics placed on the Relic Altar shape each attempt, and rooms hand out Boons or Afflictions along the way. Sacred Water collected inside buys items from Balbala.
Balbala in Act 2 drops the first key, Balbala's Barya. Later Ascensions use Djinn Barya. Floor bosses include Rattlecage, Rafiq & Hadi, Ashar and Zarokh the Temporal, and the trial rewards jewels, among them Time-Lost jewels.
Floors per Ascension on the Sekhemas Carry
- 1st Ascension, points 1–2: 1 floor, with Balbala's Barya or a Djinn Barya.
- 2nd Ascension, points 3–4: 2 floors.
- 3rd Ascension, points 5–6: 3 floors.
- 4th Ascension, points 7–8: all 4 floors.
Every extra floor means more rooms on the same Honour pool, which is why players usually get stuck at the third or fourth step. Our booster's character carries the floors, and the points go to yours.
Configuring the Sekhemas Boost
The Trials list holds single steps (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Trial) and ranges: 1st–2nd, 1st–3rd, All 4 Trials, 2nd–3rd, 2nd–4th and 3rd–4th. Pick the range that begins at your next missing pair; a character with 2 points, for example, chooses 2nd–4th Trials for points 3–8. The more floors the range covers, the higher the price, and Hardcore in Runes of Aldur costs more than the other leagues.

When the Trial of the Sekhemas Boost Starts and Ends
Within about 15 minutes of payment, the booster gives you the finish time for your range in the order chat, plays the floors and uploads screenshots of the new points. Orders are played in the current league you choose, and with 1.0 on December 11, 2026, the card moves to the new league.
Zarokh plus a unique relic is also where exclusive uniques come from: Temporalis needs the relic The Last Flame in a level 80+ run, and Against the Darkness needs The Desperate Alliance.
