What Is Honor Hold in TBC Anniversary?
Honor Hold is the Alliance stronghold in Hellfire Peninsula, the first zone every character reaches after stepping through the Dark Portal in The Burning Crusade. Its reputation controls the Flamewrought Key, the heroic key for the three Hellfire Citadel dungeons: Hellfire Ramparts, The Blood Furnace and The Shattered Halls.
The faction also gives a discount on riding training, which matters when you save for Artisan Riding at level 70. Horde players earn the same key from Thrallmar instead.
Why Alliance Players Buy an Honor Hold Boost
Every member of a heroic group must hold the key, so one missing Flamewrought Key stops the whole group at the portal. On TBC Anniversary the Communal key is account-wide: once one character earns it, your alts only need Friendly with Honor Hold to use it. The key costs Revered until 22 October; on that day the patch drops all heroic keys to Honored.
