What Is Engineering in TBC Anniversary?

Engineering is the tinkering profession: it builds goggles, trinkets, explosives, scopes and other gadgets out of metal bars and crafted parts. In The Burning Crusade the cap is 375, and engineering goggles TBC players look for sit at the top of that climb, made only by engineers for engineers.

Much of the profession is consumable. Bombs, grenades and devices get used up in raids and battlegrounds, so a working engineer keeps crafting long after the skill is capped. Engineers also get gear that only they can equip, which makes the profession part of the raid setup for some classes rather than a hobby.

Engineering Boost Settings

You drag the slider from your current engineering to the target, between 1 and 375; a TBC Anniversary engineering 375 order covers the full span. All parts and bars for that range are ours. Three more choices finish the order:

• Execution speed. Normal, Express or Super Express; the faster tiers are priced higher and get priority for start and completion.
• Faction choice. Aldor or The Scryers, because your Shattrath side controls which recipes you can buy.
• Gold and stream. Optional 300 to 2,000 gold, and a live stream on Piloted orders.

How Long the Engineering Carry Takes

Expect about 20–22 hours of crafting per profession. Your booster gives you the start time in the order chat. On Self Play the clock follows your own crafting sessions instead.

Engineering burns metal at every rank, which is why many engineers also pick the mining boost and dig their own bars afterwards.
