What Is Honor Gear in TBC Anniversary?
Honor gear is PvP equipment bought with honor, the currency every battleground pays out. When Arena Season 3 started on TBC Anniversary on 1 September in NA and 2 September in EU, Blizzard moved the Season 1 Gladiator's armor to the honor vendors. A set that used to need arena points can now be bought by any level 70 who plays battlegrounds, with no rating requirement.
Honor also comes faster than it did at launch: battleground honor was raised substantially on 1 April 2026. For a fresh 70, this makes the Gladiator's set the quickest way into full PvP armor before rated play.
How the Honor Gear Boost Is Farmed
After payment, the booster queues battlegrounds on your character, buys each Gladiator's piece as soon as the honor covers it and sends you a screenshot. Any honor already on your character goes into the set first. Honor from Season 2 arena points, converted at 1 point to 10 honor, counts as well.

When to Buy Honor Gear and What Comes Next
Buy it before your first arena week, not after: the set gives a new 70 a full PvP kit to learn rated play in, and the Vindicator's add-on fills the remaining slots at the same time. Players moving on to current-season armor can follow up with the Vengeful arena set, which is paid in arena points. Battleground marks for other PvP rewards come with the Marks of Honor boost, and players aiming at the top of the ladder can read about the Gladiator title boost.
