What Is Syphon of the Nathrezim in TBC Anniversary?

Syphon of the Nathrezim is a one-hand mace at item level 141 from Black Temple, the Phase 3 raid of TBC Anniversary. It drops from Supremus, the second boss of the temple after Naj'entus. A one-hander leaves the off-hand free for a shield, a second weapon or a held item, which is why many specs value it over a two-hander of similar level.

Because Supremus comes so early in the raid, the mace is one of the first Phase 3 weapons a new temple raider can see.

Where Supremus Fits in the Mace Boost

The temple has nine encounters, from Naj'entus to Illidan, and a full clear takes about 2 hours. For this order only the second fight matters: the mace is set aside for your character before the pull, and the rest of the raid continues without touching your reservation. Want more than one weapon from the temple and Hyjal? The Black Temple and Hyjal bundle covers both raids, and the full temple carry is on the Black Temple boost page.

Why the Mace Can Take More Than One Week

Supremus can be looted once per character per reset, and his table holds more than one item. When the mace does not drop, the booster brings your character back after the next reset, and the order stays open until it does. The average is 2–3 resets. A fixed date would be a guess, so we do not give one. If the mace is only one of several missing slots, the specific BiS item boost plans them together.

The rest of the Phase 3 weapons and set pieces are in the TBC Anniversary gear boost hub.

Frequently asked questions

When can the Syphon of the Nathrezim boost start?

The booster confirms the start time in the order chat, based on the next temple run with room for your character.

How many resets should I expect?

2–3 on average. One Supremus kill per reset, and the order runs until the mace drops.

Do I need to play?

Only with Self Play. With Piloted the booster plays your character, and Remote Control is also available.

Is the gold option required?

No. Leave it on I don't need Gold, or add 300 to 2,000 gold if you want an enchant ready when the mace arrives.
