What Is Serpentshrine Cavern in TBC Anniversary?
Serpentshrine Cavern, SSC for short, is the 25-player raid that opened with Phase 2 on 14 May, together with Tempest Keep: The Eye. It holds six bosses: Hydross the Unstable, The Lurker Below, Leotheras the Blind, Fathom-Lord Karathress, Morogrim Tidewalker and Lady Vashj. Three of them carry Tier 5 tokens, and Vashj also drops the Belt of One-Hundred Deaths, an item level 138 leather belt.
Since Phase 3 the raid needs no attunement on TBC Anniversary. Its trash drops Nether Vortex, the reagent for the 375 Blacksmithing, Leatherworking and Tailoring epics, so crafters have a reason to clear it every week.
Loot Modes and Add-ons of the SSC Carry

The Tier 5 set and the Tier Set Top-up keep the order going until the tier pieces you ordered are yours; that usually takes 2–3 resets, depending on drops. Nether Vortex priority puts you first in line for every Vortex that drops. SSC runs in Self Play, Piloted and Remote Control.
Timing of a Serpentshrine Cavern Raid Boost
One clear of all six bosses, from Hydross to Lady Vashj, takes about 90 minutes. The raid needs no attunement, only an unused Serpentshrine Cavern lockout this week. You set the start with the raid leader for your realm in the order chat. From 22 October SSC bosses add Badges of Justice to every run.
Other Phase 2 Orders
The other half of Tier 5, chest and shoulders, comes from the Tempest Keep boost, and both raids are sold together as the Phase 2 All Raids Boost.
