What Are the Splinters of Evil in Diablo 4?

Splinters of Evil are the core of the Season 15 questline. You beat echoes of three Prime Evils, Diablo beneath Tristram Cathedral, Baal at Arreat Summit and Mephisto in the Durance of Hate, and each echo gives a splinter. Every splinter changes two endgame activities, carries an elemental Iconic Power and also modifies the Tree of Whispers. You carry one at a time; switching means earning another from the largest Waking Nightmares.

Each splinter has its own reputation track with 8 activity modifiers and 6 Iconic Power upgrades, plus rewards such as a Resplendent Cache that holds a Resplendent Spark. The Mephisto track adds Pit nodes like Choron's Haste and Choron's Blessing, which help glyph upgrades.

Which Splinter of Evil Boost to Pick

Pick the splinter whose activities you farm most. A Pit pusher leans toward Hatred, a lair boss farmer toward Destruction, and a player who lives in Infernal Hordes runs toward Terror.

How the Reputation Carry Is Configured

Choose the splinter, then drag the reputation range from your current level to the target, 1 to 8. A wider range costs more. The full range from 1 to 8 opens every modifier and Iconic Power upgrade on that track, while a shorter range suits a hero who already played part of it. If your hero does not hold that splinter yet, tick Unlock the chosen splinter and we earn it first. Seasonal Hardcore costs more and moves slower than Softcore. You can play along with Self Play, or hand the hero over Piloted or by Remote Control.

Timing for a Splinters of Evil Order

Expect 4–8 hours per splinter, depending on the range and whether the unlock comes first. Work begins about 15 minutes after the order.
