What Is Harbinger of Hatred in Diablo 4?

Harbinger of Hatred is a Greater lair boss whose lair, Harbinger's Den, lies south of Kurast Docks in Nahantu, the Vessel of Hatred region. Every summon takes one Greater Lair Key, the same key Duriel, Echo of Andariel and The Butcher use. Kills roll its own unique list together with the general pool of 29 uniques shared by the Greater tier.

Patch 3.2.1 gave Greater bosses a slightly higher Mythic rate, and a Mythic from the Harbinger always comes from its own pool. In Season 15 the Splinter of Destruction, earned from the echo of Baal, modifies lair boss fights while you carry it.

Buy Harbinger of Hatred Kills: What You Configure

Move the slider anywhere from 1 to 100 kills; the difficulty is fixed at Torment XII. Next, choose "We bring the keys" or "I have my own keys", the second costing less per kill. Then pick one of four realms, Seasonal or Eternal in Softcore or Hardcore, and Standard or Express speed, where Express costs extra and takes maximum priority for start and completion.

Three add-ons round it off: the Torment XII unlock, Extra gold, and a Live stream for Piloted orders. The boost runs Piloted, Self Play or Remote Control.

Where Your Greater Lair Keys Come From

Plain Lair Keys drop in War Plans, Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides, Kurast Undercity and from World Bosses. Initiate bosses such as Urivar turn them into Greater Lair Keys, more of them from Torment VI. Players who run a War Plans boost often end up with plain keys to spare for that first step. If you would rather skip the chain, buy the Greater keys as boss materials and choose the own-keys option.

Harbinger Carry Timing and Requirements

We start in about 15 minutes and plan around 15 minutes for each kill, so a batch of 12 takes about three hours. Hardcore orders take longer, since a permadeath hero is played with a wider margin. Your hero must be level 70 with Torment XII open; the tier needs a Pit 100 clear, which the add-on or the separate difficulty unlock takes care of.

For the other lair and pinnacle fights, open the D4 boss carry hub.

Frequently asked questions

When do the Harbinger kills start?

In about 15 minutes after payment. Express makes your order the next one in line.

How long does the Harbinger of Hatred boost take?

Around 15 minutes per kill on Softcore. Hardcore heroes take longer because every fight keeps a wider margin.

Does the Splinter of Destruction matter for this fight?

Yes, if your hero carries it. The Season 15 Splinter of Destruction modifies lair bosses, so a hero with it equipped fights a changed Harbinger. You carry one splinter at a time, so we play with whichever one your hero holds.

Can I use my own Greater Lair Keys?

Yes. Pick "I have my own keys" and keep one Greater Lair Key per kill in your stash. That option costs less per kill than letting us bring the keys.
