What Is Red Dust in Diablo 4?

Red Dust is the PvP currency of the Fields of Hatred, the open PvP zones of Diablo 4. Inside them you collect Seeds of Hatred from monsters, events, chests and other players. Seeds are only worth something once purified at an Altar of Extraction, which turns them into Red Dust; seeds you still carry when you leave the zone are lost. Purified Red Dust stays with you, even after a death.

You turn hostile with the Mark for Blood emote and drop the flag at the Altar of Cleansing. There is no arena, rating or ladder: the Fields of Hatred are the PvP, and Red Dust is what they pay.

What Red Dust Buys

The Unsavory Oddities vendor takes Red Dust for:

  • PvP armor cosmetics and weapon cosmetics;
  • mount gear;
  • gear gambles for caps, tunics, gloves, boots and pants.

Collectors usually want a complete look, which adds up to a large total, while gamblers spend in smaller rounds. For a fixed item with chosen stats rather than a gamble, the unique items card is the direct order, and full builds come as Diablo 4 build kits.

How the Red Dust Boost Is Set Up

OptionChoices
PlatformPC, Xbox, PlayStation
AmountSlider from 30,000 to 750,000 Red Dust
RealmSeasonal Softcore, Seasonal Hardcore, Eternal Softcore, Eternal Hardcore
MethodPiloted or Remote Control

Seasonal Softcore is the cheapest realm on this card, Seasonal Hardcore the most expensive, and the Eternal realms sit in between. A Hardcore hero is farmed more slowly, because a death in a PvP zone ends a permadeath character.

How Long the Fields of Hatred Farm Takes

Expect a start within 15–30 minutes and about 1 hour per 30,000 Red Dust. The smallest boost is done in about an hour; 300,000 is a matter of about ten hours, spread over sessions. The farm runs on your own hero, and the seeds are purified regularly, so progress is never held as loose seeds for long.

Other services for your hero are in the Diablo 4 PvP boost hub and on the Diablo 4 boosting page.

Frequently asked questions

When can you start my Red Dust order?

Within 15–30 minutes after payment.

How long does a Red Dust boost take?

About 1 hour per 30,000 Red Dust. The full 750,000 is roughly 25 hours of play, split into several sessions.

Do I lose Red Dust if my hero dies?

No. Purified Red Dust is not lost on death. Only seeds that are still unpurified when you leave the Fields of Hatred are lost, which is why we purify often.

Does the platform change anything?

Only where we play. Choose PC, Xbox or PlayStation in the calculator so the order goes to the right platform.
