What Is Ula'tek in WoW Midnight?
Ula'tek is the eighth and final boss of The Venomous Abyss, the Season 2 raid on the Coiled Isle, and the encounter that gives patch 12.1 its name, "Curse of Ula'tek". The fight comes right after The Coiled Altar, and together they form the top item level tier of the raid.
Ula'tek is the boss behind most of the season's raid achievements. A Heroic or Mythic kill awards Ahead of the Curve: Ula'tek and completes Midnight Season 2: Serpent Scion. A Mythic kill adds Cutting Edge: Ula'tek, the title Venom's End and Sssensational!, and only Mythic Ula'tek drops the Primeval Skyfriend mount. The boss also holds the Slumbering Coil Curio, the Tier 36 omni-token.

On Mythic, vault rewards from Ula'tek are at the Myth 9 equivalent, 344, the highest raid item level of the season. Both Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge are Feats of Strength without a mount or title and can be earned until Season 2 ends.
Adding The Coiled Altar When You Buy the Kill
On Normal and Heroic one checkbox adds The Coiled Altar, the penultimate boss, in the same visit. It drops at the same item level as Ula'tek, 302 or 315, so the add-on doubles your chances at final-tier gear. If you want loot priority on both bosses with unsaved boosters, the last two bosses boost is built for that.
Play modes: Piloted, Self Play or Remote Control (a booster plays the kill on your PC through Parsec).
When the Ula'tek Carry Runs
Kills follow our raid schedule; without a fitting scheduled run, the raid is arranged individually. A Normal or Heroic raid lasts about 1 hour, a Mythic raid 2–3 hours.
