What Is Prey in WoW Midnight?
Prey is Midnight's hunting activity: you take a target and track it down. It has been open since the first week of Season 2, alongside Heroic dungeons and Delves, and each hunt can be played on Normal, Hard or Nightmare. Hunts also feed a rank track of their own, the Preyhunter ranks, which run from 0 to 10.
That is why players repeat them. One hunt is a short task; a rank needs many, and the harder difficulties take more time and attention than most alts can spare in a week.
How Prey Hunts Count After Patch 12.1.5
Patch 12.1.5 arrives on October 13 and changes how fast hunts move your rank. Below rank 4, each hunt gives 4,000 progress. From rank 4 to rank 9, each of the first 4 hunts in a week gives 2,000.

For a character at rank 4 or higher, 4 hunts a week is the number that uses the bonus fully. Ranks 0–3 gain on every hunt, so a larger batch makes sense there. If the rank itself is the goal, the Preyhunter rank boost sells it by target rank instead of by hunt count.

Self Play is not offered on this card; the hunts are played on your character through Piloted or Remote Control.

Work starts within 30–60 minutes. The total time depends on how many hunts you ordered, and the booster confirms it in the order chat. A character still below the cap can be leveled first with Midnight power leveling, and the rest of the catalog is on the leveling boost page.
