What Is Ahead of the Curve in WoW Midnight?
Ahead of the Curve is the Feat of Strength for beating the final boss of the current raid on Heroic or Mythic. In Midnight Season 2 that boss is Ula'tek, the last of eight encounters in The Venomous Abyss, and the achievement reads Ahead of the Curve: Ula'tek. It stays obtainable until Season 2 ends and then stays on your profile for good.
Raid leaders read it as proof that a character has seen the Heroic version of the fight, which is why it opens doors to pugs and guild trials. The feat itself gives no mount and no title.
What Comes With a WoW AotC Boost
The same Heroic kill also ticks the raid branch of Midnight Season 2: Serpent Scion, whose reward is a Crystallized Venomblight Manaflux, a Catalyst charge. Ula'tek is a Final-tier boss, so her Heroic drops are ilvl 315, and she carries the omni-token Slumbering Coil Curio for any Tier 36 slot. Loot is a chance on top of the feat, not part of the promise. For every Heroic boss with your loot rules, the Heroic Venomous Abyss run ends with this kill.
How the AotC Carry Is Scheduled
Heroic kills start with our raid schedule. When you need another evening, the manager arranges the raid individually. A Heroic raid lasts about 1 hour. In Self Play you sit at your own keyboard with no gear or skill check; Piloted and Remote Control let a booster play the character for you.
AotC or Cutting Edge Boost?
Both feats come from Ula'tek. Ahead of the Curve takes Heroic, Cutting Edge takes Mythic, and a Mythic kill awards both. The Cutting Edge boost is a 2–3 hour Mythic raid and adds the title Venom's End from Mythic: Ula'tek. If the Heroic feat is the goal, buy this card: it is the shorter order.
Is There an AotC Mount?
No. The two mounts of this raid come from elsewhere: the Primeval Skyfriend drops from Mythic Ula'tek only, and the Crimson Venomfang is the reward of Glory of the Venomous Raider. Every other service for the tier is in the Venomous Abyss catalog.
Frequently asked questions
Which boss do I need for AotC this season?
Only Ula'tek, the eighth and final boss of The Venomous Abyss, on Heroic or Mythic. This card uses Heroic.
When can you start?
With the next scheduled Heroic raid. If its time does not suit you, the manager arranges one individually.
How long does it take?
About 1 hour, the length of our Heroic raid.
Can I get AotC on several characters?
Yes. The feat belongs to the character that was in the raid, so each alt needs its own order.
