What Is Black Temple Timewalking in WoW?
Black Temple is the Burning Crusade raid where Illidan Stormrage holds the top of his fortress. In Timewalking it returns as a scaled raid: gear and power are adjusted to the instance, so a modern character fights its 9 bosses at a level that still matters. A premade group of 10–30 players enters, and any character at level 80 or above with item level 180 can join.
The temple opens only while the TBC Timewalking week is live. Players come for the Timewarped Badges paid by every boss, the Hero-track Venomous Abyss item from the raid quest, and the very small chance at Reins of the Infinite Timereaver that any Timewalking boss can drop.

Illidan alone is the short goal for players who want the iconic kill and the badges that come with it. The full run adds eight more bosses, eight more chances at loot and a larger badge haul, and costs a bit more.
When Your Black Temple Carry Is Played
The Timewalking calendar is filled through February 2027: Warlords of Draenor from October 27, Legion from November 17, Battle for Azeroth from December 8, Shadowlands from December 29, Dragonflight from January 19 and Classic from February 9 to 16. The weeks come three weeks apart, and TBC follows Classic in this rotation, so the next TBC Timewalking week is expected around March 2–9, 2027. You can buy the boost now and it is played in that week. Your run is completed within 12–24 hours of the week's start. The raid time arrives in the order chat.
Play Modes and What Badges Buy
Play Piloted, Self Play inside the raid, or Remote Control from your PC; Piloted orders can add a live stream. Timewarped Badges go to the Timewalking vendors, who sell past Turbulent Timeways mounts for 5,000 badges, so a full run in every event week adds up.
