What Is The Dreamrift in WoW Midnight?
The Dreamrift is a single-encounter raid from Midnight Season 1. Its one boss is Chimaerus, the Undreamt God. Chimaerus was one of three Season 1 bosses that carried Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge, together with Midnight Falls and Crown of the Cosmos. Season 1 closed on August 11, 2026, and those two Feats of Strength went with it.
The boss and its loot table stay. Heroic drops are item level 259–276, Mythic drops 272–289. On a Season 2 character that is not an upgrade, so players buy Chimaerus for its armor appearances and the kill achievement on the difficulty they missed.
Chimaerus Kill Boost: Heroic or Mythic?
Heroic is the lower-priced choice. It gives the Heroic version of every appearance Chimaerus drops and the Heroic kill achievement.
Mythic gives the Mythic versions and the Mythic achievement, with loot at 272–289. Players who already own the Heroic looks usually come for this one.
Either way, the order covers one kill. Self Play puts you in the raid to loot yourself; Piloted and Remote Control play the character for you.
A note on numbers: even Mythic Chimaerus stops at 289, while a Season 2 Mythic 0 dungeon drops 292. If you need item level for the current season, a Dreamrift carry is the wrong tool; for appearances and a finished achievement list, it is the quickest one.
How Fast a Dreamrift Carry Is Delivered
We do not schedule Season 1 raids weekly. You ask, we organise. From the start of the run to the kill, plan on about 1 hour.
Buy Dreamrift Boost With Other Season 1 Raids
The Dreamrift is short, so many buyers pair it with another one-boss raid such as Sporefall and Rotmire, or with the two bosses of March on Quel'Danas. The full list of first-season options is in the Season 1 raid catalog, and older tiers for transmog farming are under legacy raid runs.
Frequently asked questions
Does Chimaerus still award Ahead of the Curve or Cutting Edge?
No. Those Season 1 Feats of Strength are no longer obtainable. The kill gives the regular achievement and loot.
When can the Dreamrift boost start?
Any day, on request. After your booster is assigned, the start time is agreed in the order chat.
How long does the run take?
About 1 hour for Chimaerus on Heroic or Mythic.
