What Is Raid Legacy in WoW Forever?
Raid Legacy covers the three raids that go live on December 9: Onyxia's Lair, The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit. The Onyxia challenge is a single kill, since the lair has one boss; the two new raids ask for every boss inside. A finished challenge adds to the Legacy pool that every character on your account draws from.
The three raids come in three sizes. The Barrow Deeps is a 10-player night elf prison under Mount Hyjal, entered from Hyjal or through tunnels from Blackmaw Hold. Hyjal Summit is a 20-player raid on the mountain itself, and Onyxia's Lair stays a 40-player fight against one dragon.
Raid Challenges in This Boost
| Challenge | Players | Goal | Attunement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Onyxia's Lair | 40 | Onyxia defeated | Yes, per character |
| The Barrow Deeps | 10 | Every boss | None |
| Hyjal Summit | 20 | Every boss | None |
The Onyxia attunement belongs to the character, not the account, so the character on the order needs it done. The two new raids have no attunement chain, and gear does not matter for the carry.
Group Loot or Full Priority on the Raid Carry
With Group loot, items are rolled inside the raid. Full priority gives you all loot for your class and spec, including tier set pieces from The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit. The legendary is a separate paid service and is not included. When gear matters more than the point, buy a run with an item count: the Barrow Deeps boost guarantees 2 items, the Hyjal Summit boost 3, and the WoW Forever Raids Bundle 7 across all three raids.
Tick the Raid challenges you want: Onyxia's Lair: Onyxia defeated, The Barrow Deeps: every boss, Hyjal Summit: every boss. Then set Loot to Group loot or Full priority. Piloted, Self Play or Remote Control. Piloted runs can add a Live stream.
When You Can Buy and When Runs Start
Nothing raids before December 9, 2026. Orders placed now are scheduled from that day, and each challenge takes one clear of its raid. The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit are also where the new tier sets drop, so a Full priority clear for the point can start your set at the same time; a complete set usually takes several resets, depending on drops. Self Play puts you in the raid with us; Piloted and Remote Control run your character. The other Legacy categories are collected in the WoW Forever Legacy boost section.
Frequently asked questions

On December 9, 2026, the day Onyxia's Lair, The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit open. You can order before that.
Do I need the Onyxia attunement?
Yes, for the Onyxia challenge. The attunement is per character, so the character on the order must have it. The Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit need no attunement.
