What Is a BiS Item in WoW Forever?

A BiS item is the single strongest piece for one slot of your spec, and in WoW Forever it usually sits behind one boss. That boss might be in Blackrock Depths or Scholomance, in the new Blackmaw Hold or Shaper's Terrace, or in The Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit or Onyxia's Lair from December 9. Unique boss loot in Forever dungeons is blue or better, and world-drop epics were improved, so a few slots can also come from the open world or from crafting.

Most characters end up with one or two slots that refuse to drop: a trinket, a ring, the weapon. That last item is what this boost is for. You do not pay for slots that are already done, and you decide which item counts as the target.

How Long the WoW Forever BiS Item Boost Takes

It depends on the source. Endgame dungeons run 60–90 minutes per clear and can be repeated, so dungeon items usually come faster. Raid items are tied to raid resets, and the drop is luck. Several slots from the same dungeon or raid shorten the total, because one clear can work on more than one item at a time. Dungeon work starts about one week after the November 4 launch; raid items from December 9.
