The WoW Forever Legacy talent calculator above shows all three Legacy trees, Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness, with their 21 perks. Each character gets 16 points to place, and the planner follows the same unlock rules as the game, so it won't accept a point you couldn't spend there. Try a few ideas now and you'll know what to pick when WoW Forever opens on November 4, 2026.
Below: the controls, the unlock rules, a full perk table and four ready builds you can load with one code.
How to use the WoW Forever Legacy talent calculator
- Add a point. Click a perk. Each click adds one rank, and the badge under the icon shows your progress, for example 2/5.
- Take a point back. Right-click or Shift+click the perk. If another perk still relies on that point, remove the other one first.
- Read the tooltip. Hover a perk to see what your current rank does, what the next rank adds and what it still needs.
- Watch the meters. The top counter shows how many of the 16 points are left. Each tree has its own meter with marks at 5 and 10 and a note on how many points until the next tier.
- Start over. Each tree has its own Reset button, and Reset all clears the whole build. "Your build" lists your perks with their effects.
Each tree runs top to bottom in three bands: Open from the start, After 5 points and After 10 points. A note under each tree says two more perks arrive in a future update.
How Legacy perks unlock
Two rules decide what you can pick, and both work inside a single tree:
- Point gates. Some perks are open from the start. Others need 5 or 10 points already spent in that same tree. A 5-point perk only counts points in the tree's open perks, while a 10-point perk counts everything below the 10-point mark, 5-point perks included.
- Linked perks. A line runs from one perk down to the perk it opens, and it lights up in the tree's colour once the upper perk has a rank. Talented needs Well Rested, Frequent Flier needs Field Guide, Permanence needs Gourmand, Reagent Economy needs The Quick and the Dead, Dedicated Study needs Bartering and Performance Bonus needs Bountiful Harvest.
Points in other trees never count toward a gate.
WoW Forever Legacy perks: the full list
Legacy points are earned once per account, through challenges like class levels, crafting milestones and honor ranks. How to plan a Legacy points build
Each tree holds 23 ranks, 69 in total, so 16 points cover less than a quarter. Three habits help you choose.
- A capstone costs 11 points. Frequent Flier, Reagent Economy and Dedicated Study each need ten points in their tree first. That leaves five for everything else, and two capstones never fit in one build.
- Put gate points where they pay off. The open perks are the only way into a tree, so fill them with something you'd want anyway, like Well Rested on a leveler or Working Overtime on a crafter.
- Give each character a job. Points count per character, so your crafter and your alt can run different builds.
Best Legacy perks in WoW Forever by goal
The four plans below all use exactly 16 points and meet every gate and link. Load any of them with one click in the Quick builds row above the trees, or use the link under each build.
Fast alt leveling
Well Rested 5, Thrill of Adventure 5, Talented 5 and Field Medicine 1. The open perks fill the 5-point gate for Talented by themselves. You get talents from level 5, more rested XP between sessions and health and mana back on every kill. If you'd rather travel cheaply, The travel variant takes Well Rested 4, Talented 5, Thrill 5, Field Guide 1 and Frequent Flier 1. Pair it with our WoW Forever leveling guide to plan the route itself. Load this build.
Professions
Working Overtime 5, Bartering 2, Dedicated Study 1, Bountiful Harvest 5 and Performance Bonus 3. More skill-ups, far more Scarce materials, 10% cheaper vendors, and Dedicated Study nudges your lowest tradeskill up once a day. A cook or angler can drop Performance Bonus for Master Chef or Luremaster. Load this build.
PvP and honor
The Quick and the Dead 2, Reinforce 3, For Great Honor 5, Diplomat 5 and Reagent Economy 1. You earn 10% more honor and 10% more reputation, including with battleground factions. After a rez your helpful spells are free for up to two minutes or until your next fight, and deaths cost less to repair. High Alert is left out on purpose, since it does nothing inside battlegrounds. Load this build.
Gold saving
Bountiful Harvest 5, Gourmand 3, The Quick and the Dead 2, Reinforce 5 and Reagent Economy 1. Repairs shrink by 40%, class reagents stop costing gold, food buffs last longer and every gathering trip brings back more Scarce materials to sell. Load this build.
Sharing and saving your build
The WoW Forever Legacy talent calculator writes every change into the page address as a short code, one digit per perk. Copy link puts that address on your clipboard, and anyone who opens it sees the same build, no account needed. Save build keeps one plan in this browser, and Load saved build brings it back later.
Legacy perks sit next to your class talents, and Talented changes when those unlock. To see that effect, try the level setting in our WoW Forever talent calculator.
If you'd rather have an alt reach 60 without doing the grind yourself, WoW Forever powerleveling can be ordered now, with work starting on November 4.
About the beta data
Perk names, ranks, gates, links and effect values follow the current WoW Forever beta, checked on September 29, 2026. Blizzard can still retune them before launch, the announced extra perks will be added, and the 16-point cap is expected to rise over time. We'll refresh the planner when newer data lands. The official Legacy system overview confirms the three trees, the 16-point limit and how points are earned.
WoW Forever Legacy Talent Calculator FAQ
Is there a Legacy talent calculator for WoW Forever?
Yes. The WoW Forever Legacy talent calculator on this page covers all three Legacy trees and their 21 perks. It enforces the 16-point limit, the 5- and 10-point gates and the linked perks, shows current and next rank effects in tooltips and stores every build in a link you can share. It runs in your browser, and planning or sharing doesn't need an account.
How many Legacy points can you spend per character?
Each character can spend 16 Legacy points at launch. The account can earn more than that, up to 65 by Blizzard's count, through class levels, crafting, PvP, exploring, dungeons and raids. The extra points don't stack onto one character. They let you finish challenges once and then give every alt its own full 16-point build.
What are the best Legacy perks in WoW Forever?
It depends on the character. For leveling alts, Well Rested, Thrill of Adventure and Talented save the most time. Crafters get the most from Working Overtime, Bountiful Harvest and Bartering. PvP players will like For Great Honor and Diplomat, and anyone watching their gold should look at Reinforce and Reagent Economy. The four sample builds above show complete 16-point versions of each plan.
How do perks unlock in the Legacy trees?
Some perks are open from the start. Others need 5 or 10 points spent in the same tree, counted from perks with a lower requirement. A few perks are also linked to the one before them and need a rank there first, for example Talented after Well Rested. You can't remove a point if another perk still depends on it.
Can I share or save my Legacy build?
Yes. Each build lives in the page address as a short code, and Copy link hands it to a friend or guildmate. They'll see exactly the same perks and ranks. Save build keeps one plan in your current browser, and Load saved build restores it. Clearing site data or switching browsers removes the saved copy, while the link keeps working.
Are the Legacy perk values final?
No. The planner follows the WoW Forever beta as of September 29, 2026, and Blizzard can change ranks, effects and unlock rules before launch on November 4. Two more perks per tree are still to come. Treat exact percentages as provisional. The broad structure matches Blizzard's own overview: three trees, account-wide points and a 16-point budget per character.
